Aux Pays-Bas, la bicyclette ne connaît pas la crise !

AMSTERDAM (Reuters) - Crise économique ou pas, le marché du cycle reste florissant aux Pays-Bas, terre d'élection de la "petite reine".
Il s'est vendu l'an dernier environ 1,3 million de vélos, pour un prix moyen de 713 euros et un chiffre d'affaires global de 950 millions d'euros, en hausse de quatre pour cent par rapport à 2008, révèle lundi le RAI Vereniging, une association de cyclistes néerlandais.
Les Pays-Bas, pays propice au vélo en raison de son relief plat, comptent 18.000 km de voies cyclables. En 2007, près d'un employé néerlandais sur quatre s'est rendu au travail à bicyclette.
